This is a very simple BLT salad recipe that you can throw together in a pinch. Who doesn’t love bacon? Growing up, one of my favorite lunches consisted of a BLT sandwich with potato chips. There’s just something about how the bacon, lettuce, tomato work together. Here’s a simple salad version of the classic BLT with a few added twists to spice things up!

BLT Salad
This BLT Salad is simple, packed with flavor, and Whole30 compliant to boot!
Ingredients
- 1 head butter lettuce
- 8 slices bacon cooked crisp, chopped
- 8 cherry tomatoes quartered
- 1 small hass avocado chopped
Basic Vinaigrette Dressing
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp red wine vinegar
- 1 tsp whole grain mustard
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Roughly chop the butter lettuce, wash, spin/dry, and place in a serving bowl. Any good quality lettuce or greens can be used. I just like how the texture and flavor of butter lettuce work with bacon.
- Add bacon, tomatoes, and avocado to the lettuce and toss with the vinaigrette dressing or your dressing of choice.
- Ranch or blue cheese dressings work well too but of course, that wouldn’t be whole30 🙂
